How Are You Managing the Department of Nutrition?

Team WOWzers, CONGRATULATIONS! You won the POG prize drawing this time. The WOWzers have 93% POG completion and were entered into a random drawing for those teams with at least 80% POG Completion. So what has our winning team been up to this week as they manage the newly added Department of Nutrition (and maintain the Department of Exercise)? It’s no surprise that they are writing down their food intake and taking time to learn about what they’re putting into their bodies- GO TRUDY! Deborah is not only writing down her food intake, but she’s recording her portion sizes as well. So what’s the difference between serving size and portion size? A serving is a specific amount of food defined by common measurements (e.g. a tablespoon or a cup). A portion is the amount of food you put on your plate. For instance, a serving of milk is 8 ounces, but the portion you pour might be nearly twice that size.

Keep up the wise eating and be very aware of what and how much you’re eating (no mindless eating)!
